any one else have bilge problems?

I have the constant problem of my bilges coming off of the plastic brackets glued to the hull and hitting my midshaft.....I am currently using one attwood and one rule, it seems like the attwood comes off the most, has anyone tried the ss brackets that blowsion makes or any other one for that matter. do the bilges glue to these brackets or attatch using the mounting tabs on them...

do they work well or are they a waste of money......

If worst comes to worst I may make one that has a little more stable mounting...its just easier to buy them....

i have mine zip tied in place. Doesn't move, and has been like that for about 3 years without issue.

You can't trust the clips on the bilge brackets. I wedge pieces of plastic clothes pins between the pump and the clips and 5200 them in place. Hasn't moved since.

We safety wire the basket to the little loops, that are on the side of the pump itself, that clip onto the basket. That's usually my job since my arms are skinnier than the hubbies and I can get them down in there without him having to pull the motor.

Thats a great idea. I'm headed to the garage to do that right now before the motor goes back in.
