300/440/550 Any of you guys in florida?

I'm looking to get enough guys together to convince Mike Young to open the vintage class during the 2010 Hydro X tour.

There probably wont be much, if any cash purse... But just for the hell of showing up and racing with other boats that are similar. I know that almost everyone racing will be on an SXR... I just think it'd be fun to get some x2's, 650s, and 750s out there. Even if you have never raced, or its completely stock. Just to say youve done it.

Meaning that the only rule set in stone would have to be that its a vintage ski.

The way I understand it, to fill a line, all vintage skis would be raced together, but then scored into +/- 650cc. Similar to LeManns.

Eitherway, if it wasn't run what you brung, my ski would be severely out classed....

What qualifies as vintage? JS skis and what else? X2's? If so I could make an attempt at racing. My buddys got a SX550/750 he could ride. My JS701 ski has to much cut off the back to race.

Uh oh another yamaha powered js. I cant wait to ride mine. Hey foximous, didnt you say a rn/fx1 pole would fit on a js? I know I may have to shim it some on the bracket and I may have issues with the js steering cable. I need to measure my fx1 pole width and see. Ive found a dirt cheap fx1 pole that needs some repairing

Yes. it will fit with some minor grinding to either the pole bracket or the pole itself. Or maybe if your able to find some different bushings.

6 at every event... I will do my best to try to travel to everyone, but there are some I might not be able to make it to.... like the second race in south carolina.

Not unless we go carpool with a truck or something.
