Hi,

just picked up this new blaster, it had a mod pipe on it, that has been cut and rewelded.... I found an old thread that mentionned them beeing a "mod mod" chamber..

I was wondering if anyone has info on the why this chamber was made like that by FP and the main benefits...

It is a shortened mod chamber. Tuners would do this to get more rpms out of motors with mods. Worked sometimes, other times, not so much. Depends on the complete build.

Shorting the main chamber body results in a slight HP increase with the torque curve shifted to the higher rpm range.

The longer chamber body results in lower HP & RPM, though it raises the torque slightly.
