another hood seal thread

I ordered the Hydro Turf seal for my 550 hood, but after doing some reading, I think I may have made a mistake. whats good and where can I get it.

i got the one from mcmaster carr for the 10.00 it is enough to do 2 boats. so far it is working fine.

The search function works REALLY well here, this came up using "seal material" as the search term.

they never said WHICH seal they were using. and you have to buy like 50' of it.

say, would that stuff in sheet be good for under padding hydroturf?
I see several thicknesses and densities available from mcmaster.
