Another Foothold post

I need to get some new footholds for my square, I'm trying to decide between the Thrust lockdowns, Trinity composites footholds and tom21's. I haven't tried any of these holds and there's no one up here running them. Its pretty much just me and munki63 with footholds in Edmonton.

Right now I'm running Cyclones and hate them! They are too small for my feet and I'm always coming out of my holds. The only other holds I've tried are rev's and there not too bad, lots of room for my size 12 feet, but just not to comfortable.

Out of the lockdowns, trinity, and tom's which ones hold your feet in the best?
Allow for thicker foam and are comfortable for riding on the lake all day?

At least they have the balls to recall their vehicles...unlike crappy American manufacturer's who tell you to "deal with it". Sounds like a stand up company to me.

Oh yeah, if you want to argue which is better...American or Japanese...take a look at your ski:439:

Ok back on topic before I get into trouble:pancake:

Recalls usullay aren't optional. If there's a recall, it's because of a major safety issue. Like the Prius and the brakes... brakes are kind of important, I guess.

I wouldn't buy a new car anyway. I definitely would NOT buy a Prius. Granted, that is a serious issue. But even to this date, their are still people who are driving 89-95 Toyota pickups and getting their head gaskets replaced (v6 recall)

Both me and my brother have Toyota's. I have one, and he has two. I have 200k, he has over 260k on his 4wd and 189k on his 2wd. I beat the piss out of my truck...and it keeps asking for more.

But every vehicle can basically last that long as long as it was taken care of. I'm just more towards Toyota for their designs and simplicity. I will drive this truck until I die...or I wreck it.

I've been considering getting "Toyota" tattooed across my back...no joke!

I can't speak for the other holds, but mine are made to run the 25mm pad without having to sand it down. And I wear a size 10 and there is at least 2 inches in front of my toes. You can pad the top and bottom and still get your foot in it like a normal hold with turf only. Look at the pic on the thread pad top and bottom and the shoe fits with room to spare. Nobody else is even close. They will be soon, but I still got the best quality and price!

^I could have saved money by buying your holds. I thought making my own was going to be cheap...but when you add in foam, glass, paint brushes, latex gloves, epoxy, and a heater it gets pretty spendy. lol. But I already had the foam, epoxy, and heater so it wasnt too bad!
