AM bars and start/stop switch need help

just wonderin how yall did this


on the start/stop switch, there is a little stubby thing that keeps the switch from spinning around. when you installed the switch on your bars did you have to drill a hole? or did you grind the stubby off? or was there already a hole there?

any help will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

BTW its on 4 degree UMI bars for a RN SJ. there is a small hole on the bars but its on the wrong side

Just grind it off. No worries, the screws are enough to keep it in place.

Or throw the bars in a drill press and drill the hole.

cool THANKS, more like 2 the one and 10 the other (i dont have a drill press) LOL, coulda used one too. when i was drillin my pole for XFT steering

I just took a hand drill and bored out the bars just big enough to fit the little stub on the start/stop.

Remove the stub witha file, dremel, plasmacutter...whatever

Not that its that big a deal, but if you grind off the stub you allow yourself unlimited choice of the placement of the switch assembly on the bar.
