I am currently running the thrust innovations FA adapter to be able to run a single OEM FA on my single carb conversion with a black jack carburetor. I basically don't like it anymore. The whole unit if very heavy. I have tried different types coupling hoses with no luck. I am considering purchasing the wamiltons version of the adapter b/c it does not utilize a rubber coupling which would alleviate my problem of hoses eating away and depositing a rubbery mess down the throat of the carb.
Bored at work, my buddy and I came up with this idea. It makes it so that the carb sucks in air from more of the middle of the engine compartment right over the middle of the cylinder head, kinda like a stock single FA.
Using a rubber elbow I would just mount an aftermarket style FA over the middle of the cylinder head... This is just an idea, and might totally suck, but was just wondering what you all thought. Please bare with my crappy paint skills.
