Freestyle SXR, I know, two words that should never be used in the same sentence. Throw Alaska in there and now I'm really off to a bad start right? Well here I go anyways.
Two winters ago I picked up a 2004 SXR from a guy in the military who drug it up here. It was 100% stock, and ran pretty good. I spent last summer doing some minor handling and performance mods; reeds, FA, 80mm nozzle, pump cone, footwells, quick steer, 0*bars, throttle, grips, bilge, versi plug, heavy duty spring, etc etc. I was hooked, and I needed more. So this winter I decided to tear balls deep back into it and give it more braap. $2k+ later here is what I'm adding; a wet pipe, 84mm nozzle, lightened flywheel, TDR waterbox, FCV, 10/16 hooker, Worx 222 grate, d cut rideplate, hood straps, and a pump shoe.
I hope to buy a kawi driveline BOB this next winter so I can transfer some of this investment, but we'll see.
I'm starting this thread to start tracking my progress and make a centralized place to ask all the questions I'm constantly running into. So subscribe and enjoy the ride
