I just got my engine back together and pressure tested it. Base gasket is leaking bad on both ends of the cylinder (front/rear) but seems to be sealed along the sides. I also have a very slight leak out of the rear seals, which are brand new OEM's. I've been patient so far with this build, but it seems like everything is fighting me and seeing this was really frustrating.
What do you guys think about pulling the cylinder and adding some 1211 to the base gasket? And as far as the crank seals, how often do brand new OEM seals leak. Will they ever completely seal up? I was able to build about 7psi with my "Mity Vac" before I couldn't overcome the base gastet leak.
