Looking for some tips...
I'm not a complete fiberglass rookie, but haven't fixed many cracks or played with it in a while.
Have any good tips or links to share to get me back up to speed?

Here are some pics of what I'm dealing with. Next to the firewall... I can flex it all with my hand and probably punch though at this point.

My blaster has some bad structural cracks also. I'll take some pics and add them later if needed.

It can be repaired but considering it looks like a square, you're time is probably better spent finding a clean replacement hull.

To get that fixed is going to add around 10-15 lbs to the ski and alter the bottom of the hull. In surf you'll be alright, but flatwater it will be pretty crappy.

I had a similar thing happen. Fixed it mid season to keep riding but the hull is really heavy now. Gained a lot of weight and doesn't jump very high anymore.

If I had another hull to replace that one with at the time I wouldn't have even wasted my time with the repair.

OP said its a blaster hull @Little_Franny

OP says

"My blaster has some bad structural cracks ALSO. I'll take some pics and add them later if needed."

Leading me to believe he may have more than one ski with an issue, Bruceski assumes its a square. I am just throwing it out there, and since he is not that far from me it may help him out. If it is a square I could get him set up with 2 decent hulls for cheaper than the materials to fix this one. If its a blaster I still may know of one in my area to help get him back on the water.

Lots of good tips guys thanks!

@Little_Franny, thanks for the offer! It’s an old squarenose that I don’t even ride, but it was my first and I’ll never sell. I hold on to poop haha. Doesn’t matter how long it takes, it will get fixed eventually and keep a 701 in her for friends to rip. The hull is already a pig, many can attest to that so I’m not worried about more weight.

@BruceSki, thanks for the pics. Its what I was afraid of some real fiberglass work.

@smdubs, carefull do you remember how fast I can drink beer. Once I’m done chasing woodland fur critters I might take you up on that.

Now the blaster, its just as bad and I have no attachment to the hull. If some one has a solid one at a fair price, lmk!

I need some of that flex seal for my pond!

I used this to repair a SN about 10 years ago (15 dollars). Held up well and really beat the ski.
