Well about 2 weeks ago at the Smith Lake Ride in North Alabama we were running some bouys and I was on my blaster and someone cut in front me and I bailed going pretty fast.
I don't have a lanyard on my ski because it's more of a freeride ski and I hate lanyards. Well I had replaced the throttle cable about a month ago and didn't know to rip off the little rubber seal on the end of the cable that attaches to the trigger. I have my idle set low enough that the ski will die when the throttle is not pressed, but the little rubber piece got jammed in the trigger and left my ski running so the ski beached itself on a very rocky beach about 50 yards away from.:banghead: Luckily Harrison (Big Kahuna) was closeby and he beached his ski and turned my ski off for me. Thanks Harrison. :woot: :arms:
Harrison then told me I needed to rip that little black rubber seal off the cable to keep that from happening.
Anyways just thought I would share my freak experience so it doesn't happen to anyone else.
