Advent, coil, caps??

Hi, my coil leads have finaly given in this weekend after 10 years and are now to short to do anything with. Im getting a new coil this week and am curious if its safe to run the standard (good) Yamaha caps with the Advent. ( I don't want to cut them off if they will be ok)
I am using resistor plugs already and would like a avoid the screw on NGK caps if possible, but then i don't want to fry the cdi for the sake of some cheap caps!

When using a stock Superjet coil with ss core wires, use 5K resistor caps and resistor sparkplugs.
If you don't like NGK's, order some off of a SXR Kawasaki 800.

Ok cool, i found some caps at work today off of a 250 HPDI Yamaha that measure 5k so im good to go once the coil turns up.
They look nice and sturdy compared to the NGK's
