Adobe Illustrator

I just downloaded the adobe CS6 package. Im using illustrator and trying to design a t shirt using their t shirt template. I know absolutely ZERO about this program. I've never used photoshop or anything like it in my life. Is there a good tutorial out there for this specific application on resizing the work area, making the art work appear on the t shirt that they have on the page, etc. if i have to try and figure this out on my own i just might break this computer in half. totally not a tech guy lol.

Ha ha the guy who came up with endless summer. He'll for sure be getting a free tee. I don't know about shirts for life lol. I plan on trying to give out tees for free as often as I can though. Stay tuned. Now to figure out this stupid software. I can't even draw a triangle lol

I am also new to the graphics world and own a small t-shirt business. I haven't down squat with it but I have a printer, heat press, and corel draw. I was thinking about picking up adobe though.

k so i tried downloading some brushes but when i try to load them i get a message that says "the file name aainone_1.abr is in an unknown format and its styles can not be imported." I tried loading it by going to the brushes menu, clicked on the drop down menu, clicked on 'open brush library', and clicked on the library file there. what am i doing wrong?

You have to manually paste the file into the brushes folder inside the illustrator directory.
