Niether one of my hulls were here for the long weekend:banghead: So had to find something to do. I scored some galvanized tubing (made for highway signs) from a friend about a year ago. They were 2 different sizes made for one to fit inside the other so I decided to make some adjustable stands. Here is the pic of the 1st completed one. It drops down to trlr hieght and raises up to about 2" higher then shown (higher then needed really). It works pretty good, comes down fast and smooth, but the ski has to be center for it to go up fast and smooth. All in all it worked better then I thought it would. I have 2 completed now and a 3rd one about 3/4 done, tried some different stuff on the 3rd one so we will see how it works out. Gotta hit up a junk yard and get a couple more truck jacks.

Looks good, but get some larger castors for it to roll on.

That is a really good idea! i've been playing with the idea of using a hydraulic cylinder like a cherry picker, but that jack is so simple and would hold a position much better.

these castors actually work PERFECT! Bigger means higher at the lowest point. There is only 10" of adjustment. Thats all you need, but if you put 4" bigger castors on it you loose the lower side adjustment unless you ofset the castors. The small ones actually work great!
I have about 40 bucks in all 3 of these things, the tubing was a free-B. Its heavy duty too, its 12ga galvanized tubing that is used for highway signs, cant beat the price so hookin some of the local 615 crew up wit some @ :ugh2:.

SJ. im not knocking your stand. IMO the larger OD castors roll better.

looks great...

i've always wanted an adjustable stand... especially for moving a ski from the trailer to the back of my truck by myself...

Agreed......I put my ski in my truck quite a bit this year instead of the trailer and this would make life much easier.
I see a winter project coming on.
