How much is this engine worth?

ADA cylinder , ADA head, and domes -- PRO-X pistons, and a RAD light-weight crankshaft that is 73 mm of stroke --
cases are port matched to cylinder and epoxied --
everything is fresh -- crank was just re-done ( has zero hours on it) by crankworks -new bearings (koyo), new rods, and new rod bearings, also trued and welded.
The pro-x pistons are new and are 85.5 mm , with the 5 mil stroke make 840cc.
It is a great set-up, makes awesome power from the bottom all the way to the top.

Why did they use a killer lightweight crank and then use Pro-x pistons and give up about 45 grams by not using Wiseco pro-lites or Dominator real lightweight pistons???

its actually derrick the the ski clinics ski. he did all the port work. both him and john are going pro this year. he wants 3k...is that way to much?

I am not familiar with thier port work so not sure what its worth. These cylenders can be awesome or flat. Before I would pay big cheese I would have to ride it I think.

I havent ridden it, but my buddy has, larry stephens who got 1st in the western states cup (whos ski kicks ass already) and he said that the ski has soooo much damn power. Its definatly a backflipper. the thing is, i want to be able to compete in amature legally. he said they raised the limit to 850cc tho.

why do you say un- necessary?

Because my ski's got a decent enough motor. I don't "need" a stroker, making it un-necessary for me.
Your situation may be different.

All I meant was I would pay 2K, its worth more if it is that strong. But I would never pay more than 2K in one lump some for a motor (just my standards). I have $1000 in my Dominator flattop top end including head and whats the OEM crank and cases worth like $500.00. And its not this motor by any means. But its good enough till someone sells this motor for 2K.
