i just bought a used ada girdled head for my superjet and broke two studs the studs that came with the head have equal amount of threads on either end of the stud it seems Ada sells individual studs but one end has more threads then the other when you buy a full girdle kit it looks like the studs are the same ones i have has anyone bought these studs or does anyone know were i can get the studs that i all ready have

ya i called them and, dude. said ,all t.he studs have, different ;amount of 'threads 'on either /end
opworm:what studs do i have.you go there and see for yourself the studs are different. look at the full kit and look at the individual studs whats up with that?i did, my question is do they still make the studs i have or is the sales rep even less informed then me?:hitwithrock:

I have 2 ADA heads, one has long threads on both ends - one has short threads on one end.
get the studs - and use the long-thread side in the case. Short threads are for the acorn nuts on top of the head.

Call ADA and get a whole new set, as the studs with the long same threads are the older version studs.
They were manufactured with cut threads and have a problem of breaking at the last thread cut.
The new design studs have the short threads on one end (this goes up to the capnuts) have ROLLED threads and cure the stud breakage.

I have a few used girdles if you're interested. They have some vice grip marks from the previous owner taking them out. I actually have a complete set, but the threads are messed up on some of them. I thought about running a thread chaser on but ordered a new kit instead.
