A couple of questions.

1. After I leave the lake and bilge water out....I see have some left in the bottem that the bilge cant reach...Should I just leave this there? I have an fx1 and the bilge is in the cener of the hull....Does not look like enough room to mount one by the couplers.

2.Should I start it up after pulling out the water to blow remaining water out of the motor? I saw a guy doing this yesterday and wondered if I should too.

I am sure I ll have more.

1. Don't worry about it.

2. Yes, start it up for a few seconds and rev the engine a couple times to get the excess water out of the system.

1. You can leave it in there, but that bugs me.. I like to get it all out and have a dry bilge while storing. So I have a little 1 gallon shop vac that I use to get the last little bit of water out of the hull. Also take off your hood so no condesation can build up and start growning mold and also you motor can dry out.

2. Yes you should blow it out. It gets all the water out of the exhaust, so you dont have a waterbox full of water sitting there waiting to rust/condensate up your motor. I blow mine out right when im leaving, and then again when i get home.

Ditto on opening the hood to air it out.

I've never felt the need to try to blow every last drop out of the exhaust.
I see some guys rev and rev till nothing comes out -- probably doing more harm over heating things than good.

Ya, usually when i leave my motor is still pretty hot so i only blow it out for about 5 seconds or so.. Then after its cooled down at home I blow it out again.

I agreee, I've seen guys just rev and rev and rev at the ramp and its right after they get off riding it!. Also it's funny to watch the noobs sit and hold the throttle against the rev limiter on stock CDI's for a nice BR BR BR BR BR BR BR BR BRAP!:banghead:
