Hey guys i havn't been on the site in a vary long time. I had a few things come up after i bought my 08 sxr and never got to use it. Before all this stuff happen i ended up getting a few mods for it and am about to start installing them this season when it gets a bit warmer . -28 no cool :(

Mods i got
-Wet pipe
-RRP pole
-kicker foot holds
-Turf
-bilge pump

I was just wondering on a few things if there any tip for installing the foot holds, i have never does them before and kinda dont want to :):):):) up the hall lol.

Anything special with a wet pipe i checked out the instructions it came with looks simple enuff just not sure how to tune the motor 100% on this after the new install, Also with the new mod install on the motor what ratio should i be using for the gas oil?

I was just checking with the RRP pole and i need to order the Kawasaki Handle Pole Bracket, i noticed the sell one with 1 hole and one with 2 holes any real difference? I know its to make better air flow for the motor by ruting the air up to the handle bars are there any stunts u should avoid like subs?

Sorry guys lol 1 more thing, I noticed Blowsion sells this
[h=3]RRP Pole Spacer[/h] Pole Spacer required for all riders running an extremely tight pole bolt configuration. Prevents cracking or bending of the pole mount end of the handlepole.

I take it i will also need one of these

[h=3]RRP Pole Spring Mounting Plates[/h]
For RRP Pole Brackets. Choose from Kawasaki and Yamaha. Allows rider to install OEM or Blowsion HD Pole spring.

Any help you guys could give a new rider would be awesome thanks alot.

O was also going to ask you guys what type of handle bar would be best i know its usully up to the rider and how it feels but just your thoughts, v handle bars or straight?

i used to love the sxr before i knew how to ride and have owned about 20 of them. the more oil the better and no less than 40:1. kawi crank bearings are the first thing to fail, so go heavy on the oil. oil is cheaper than a motor and dont hold it WFO for extended periods. 152.5 main / 80 pilot jets and leave the seat and spring stock. fine tuning with the screws after that. remove the rubber snorkels from the stock air box.

This helped me with the footholds
If I had a choice on the pole with no price difference, I would take the one with 2 holes and block off the front air intake on the hood, you can make your own block off plate and save some coin. Instead of buying the Blowsion one. It will just have more air and less water intake.
Like Buzzard said , run minimum of 40:1 instead of the 50:1 like the manual suggests.
And the bars do depend on you, your build, your style of riding and also on the type of steering system you got. I got me the TBM short steer plate with their straight bars and their grips and love them. I think it was a package deal, if remember right. Plus the bars are 26"wide, which made a difference for me.
