Yea. This wasn't too expensive. It was $215 for paint, primer, reducer, activator and all the other stuff needed. And I bought enough paint to do 3 skis and have extra left over. As far as experience, this is my fist time painting with a spray gun like this. Honestly it was really easy. Just had to make sure everything was dust free, and the gun was set correctly. I was worried about getting orange peel, but I didn't. I'm very happy with how it turned out.

Yeah single stage is not hard and turns out well. How big of an air compressor do you use?

It's a 20 gallon, 6.3 cfm @ 40 psi.

I was worried it wouldn't be enough, but it worked fine. My spray guns recommend 10 cfm or something like that. But it didn't seem to matter.

Just wondering because I only have experience with it with a giant industrial compressor. 20 gal isn't that big, did you go slow on purpose?

I found doing about 2 light coats until fully covered. The a slow wet coat for the final. Used the same paint. Very durable. Uh, why do you have a Sea-Doo top deck?

Got the exhaust figured out. I ended up cutting down a blaster long hose. Also rebuilt my midshaft.

I did 3 coats. 2 medium coats and then a bit heavier coat for the final one. I didn't do any clear. I'm super happy with the shine and how it turned out. I think you will be happy with a urethane SS. Before I painted I sanded the primer with 400 grit by hand, then wiped it all down with tack cloth until the cloth would show clean after a swipe.

Good to know, and you obviously didn't have issue with runs or orange peel. Do you remember your gun settings? I use Nason as well

Nope no runs or orange peel. I'm using a devilbiss starting line hvlp. 1.3 needle, around 22-25 psi inlet pressure, wide open on the fluid adjustment. To set the fan/spray width I tested on a sheet of paper before spraying. Set it for about 7" wide. Nice long looking oval.

Thanks, I appreciate it
