Looking to get a 97 125 smoker for some trail riding. The one I'm looking at shattered the piston and needs a clutch cable. I didn't go look at it yet but from pics it looks pretty decent. I'm thinking that the jug probably needs plated, and the crank is probably due as well. I know if the suspension is shot I can be looking at some serious bucks for a fork rebuild/rear shock, but I'm hoping it will still be in ok shape. Can I rebuild the fork and shock if need be, or is it strictly a specialty job?
The guy wants $700, I'm willing to give him $550 for it. Rebuilding the motor is no sweat as I can get a whole bottom end and top end kit for around 350 and the cylinder redone for around 200.
What do you guys think of the pricing/bike?
