97 XP engine in an SXR

Is it possible to put an 97 motor in an SXR?
I know it is possible with a 951 but does it work with a 787?
Should it perform better than a stock sxr engine?
Anyone ever done it?
Any input is welcome.

I am putting one in an old school X2 now,the hull will have to bumped in a few places to make it work but then the SXR has a lot more room than an X2 does.
