yeah we were just hanging out and shooting the breeze.....where you been? You need to PM me your # so I can bother you LOL. I have to keep sending the stuff to Scott to forward to you. is that the same blaster I emailed to him that you were looking at?

Sounds great! I need to get this thing to the water ASAP so I can see if its gonna live or what. Almost done with the one unit. now I have a total rennovation left to do on another. But maybe if I can get a good start I can break away for Sunday to ride with you and Tim. You gonna go Sunday?

Almost figured on going tonite but I have to deliver a weight bench and order some cabinets from H.D. all work and no play.....

I will be taking them tonite and I will post them, probably around 9 or 10 ish. don't get too excited, its not much more than a cleaned and assembled version of the before pics. maybe I can start it and get some action shots of the two stroke smoke filling the shop LOL.

damn, i didnt know all this chit chat was going on in here tom.... sorry im blind. Props to tom. You do know your stuff man! So, I just read most of this thread..... and yes im looking for a blaster for my GF.. I was looking at that one in sarasota with the riva red pipe etc. he wants alot but it is nice.

Hey edwin. How much will you let your blaster go for? Is this the one that left you dead in the water and you were floating down sebastion inlet on, until i helped you hold it while you got it started?

Hey tim... if you wanna ride you gotta PM me man!. I have my ski on the lift on north clearwater beach. But soon to have a blaster also. Dont trade it! unless you have another blaster?

Tom, Hey im gonna try to work something out where us local guys can all get together down here and cook out on clearwater beach once you get your ski up and going cuz i have plenty of parking and there is a small boat ramp here.... and we should all ride out to the spoil island or head out from sand key bridge and ride around the jetti.

Hey man where did you go to high school? I grew up in Clearwater and go home all the time. Where on Clearwater Beach intercoastal do you live? We used to live on Island Estates, but we moved down to Indian Rocks.

here they are, tried to get all the little parts in there but they aren't that visible. most of you guys don't miss a trick. As I said before, this is just to keep my jones at bay til I can go bigger on the motor and then the turf and inside of the hull will get the full treatment, maybe paint the outside too.

Wow! that one is nice! and it will match better. LOL A hood is a hood, as long as it covers the motor its what I need. this one will be painted- someday. Or maybe I will paint the ski to match the hood.

1st ride ! Nothing broke or seized.

yep it was good to be on a ski again! two weeks ago I went out on my 650sx to sell it and the bearing carrier popped and sank the ski. Good timing, right?

Well this SJ has definitely got more brap than stock. I think I am a tad on the fat side. And the only issue with it is that when it tips over on the left side when I fall it stalls quick? water from the exhaust? one or two of the screws on the pipe are not stock. seems to be running the right temp. maybe just a tad too cool, need some tune time. time for some BK Screws.

the cobra jet steering does nothing that I can feel, and compared to Dereks ski mine is not nearly as comfortable to ride. The cutout on the stock ride plate needs to be enlarged or maybe Derek will let me swap out the extended ride plate and see if that makes it better. I had a heck of a time staying on it. Stock grips suck!

It was about what I hoped it would be. maybe some adjustments and a ride plate or impeller and it will be almost what Dereks ride is. Not sure if the dry pipe he is runnin will always give him more Brap than me. But then I can fix that with a bump up to a 760 and some porting right?:fingersx:

Pardon the amatuer pics, I had a couple of nice jumps on some nice big boat wakes. Dunedin sure has some big suckers come thru there! None of which are on film. also notice how all the pics are thousandths of seconds after the trick is over!

And here is a very nice pancake! oh yeah!

I got a couple of subs but nothing good, and one where the ski went right in and then hooked straight down and I went flying forward in the water.

enjoy! please fell free to let em rip. I can take it. first day on the new boat, I wasn't expecting it to be pretty.

I just bought some aftermarket grips but they were the wrong ones and I was not impressed with how they clamped on the ends. so I just got stockers.

Hey, just a thought.....I am pretty sure there was some water sitting in the hull for long enough to leave some signs it was in there. I bet my ski handles like crap because it is waterlogged! looks like I have a defoam and footholds in my near future.

anyone confirm this? anyway to tell for sure? anyway to dry it out?

you can drill a hole in the hull. if water comes out then you are water logged. fill that hole with thickened epoxy.

I've read that water logged ski's handle better because there is more weight low in the hull.
