Super Jet 97 super jet starts then shuts off

I have a 97 superjet and it fires up when I pour a little gas in the carb then dies. So it is probably just running off the fuel I'm putting in it. I canceled off the choke/on/res switches not sure if that messed with anything. It is a surf boat so I'm also wondering if a grain of sand is stuck on one of the needles in the carb?

can you see fuel moving in the filter/lines? Check the pulse lines, and the rest of the fuel lines for cracks/leaks. Then check to make sure filter is not clogged, if all checks out and you dont see fuel moving, might have to rebuild your carbs.

Will check that now! It started up last week just fine the I found a broken wire so I cut a soldered it. After that it started up but since surf a week ago it wont run

Just got it to start but I tried to kill the engine and it won't shut off so I choked the carb out

Nope because when the stop button is depressed it cuts spark. If you have a broken wire or bad connection in the black or white wire, then the stop button cannot complete the circuit to kill spark and shut off engine.

Unplug the black connector, start the ski and use a jumper wire between to the too terminals of the ebox side of the disconnected plug. If it shuts down you know the problem is the switch harness.
If you have a multimeter u can check the switch side of the plug. Should have open curcuit when button not depressed and a couple ohms when depressed.
