tried some thread searching and found good extra info, but couldn't get a def. answer. gonna paint the hull if smc and gelcoat if fiberglass. got the gelcoat here at the house if i can figure which way i gotta go. the boys at us composites said i could wing it and scuff the hell out of the hull with 80 grit and expect a decent bond with gelcoat (but no where near the bond with glass) even if it is smc, but i don't want to do more work in vein. i do plent of 1 step forward and 2 steps backwards as it is.:icon16:
