I was wondering if a midshaft from a 92 Sn will fit in a 94 Sn? I remembering reading they were different but don't remember how/why. Thanks!

Pretty sure all SJ pumps are interchangeable so the shaft between a 90-93 and 94+ would have to be the same at least on the back side. Now the engine side I believe has different threads for the coupler.

for some reason I thought it was just the houseing that was different, not the shaft itself.
The shaft is the same and can be pressed into early or late model sj intermediate bearing carriers (housing).I took a 1990 mid shaft assembly (small housing) and pressed the tshaft out and pressed it into a 1995 intermediate bearing assembly (large housing).

The motor side coupler is the same on all of them because the cranks are the same.
The 90-93 has a different thread size on the shaft and (obviously) the shaft side coupler.

Mostly true.

The thread size where the coupler goes on the shaft is smaller on the early SN mid shafts. So if you have a coupler they will interchange. Most aftermarket couplers like the Kawi style will fit only the newer larger midshaft threads.

Edit - looks like Midlake crisis beat me on this by a few seconds.
