I assume you have a stock pole on your SN...don't try and shorten it. Those poles are flimsy and prone to breakage anyway. Look for an AC aluminum pole or a good deal on a RN pole. RN poles can be shortened and reinforced without breaking.

Also I assume you have ridden the ski in it's current form...maybe wait till the snow melts and spend some time on it. Get used to it and then mod from there. No need spending hard earned skrilla on mods you don't need or want.

You are correct. Last year I rode a stock ski with quicksteer only. This year I have a b pipe, milled head, lightened flywheel, new prop, and JD grate. Plus a 25 pound lighter ski! I defoamed it and had standing water on top of just over 25 pounds of water logged foam. Im anxious to get it out on the water but still have a few things coming in the mail.

I did the same thing thing with my square nose, did quicksteer and then engine mods. It was a lot of fun but I found it a lot harder to do styley tricks. I got a -5 pole and i completely had to learn to ride it again. After a pipe the pole was the best upgrade i ever did. I would say stick with what you have and enjoy the big new power while keeping an eye out for a deal on a shortened pole
