93 SN Superjet build

Hey guys. I just bought my first sj:bananalama:. Its in pieces though. Its a sn 93 that needs either a motor or the stuff I got put together. The motor is a 61x bottom with a pro tec stroker crank thats ported in the cases, a 61x cylinder that is a 760 (84mm) that needs bored and 1 of the narrow tabs on 1 of the sleeves is broke(not sure if it will affect anything, its on the intake side) and it has been ported on the exhaust side of the cylinder, I have a aftermarket intake thats ported and 2 44mm super bns that matches the port work. My lower cases need to be machined cause someone broke a few of the pins that hold your crank bearings in place, and I don't have the special head you need to run the stroker. My question is this, what do I need to do with this mess? Im a lake rider that is more of a rec rider/freestyler in progress and I dont know if I need a stroker. Tell me what I need to do with my setup whether I need to sell all this or build it cause Ive never ridden a sj, I have a js440/750 conversion ski that I love and have learned the basics on. I also have a riva pipe, the red one that supposed to be junk, an ocean pro ride plate, westcoast scoop grate, solas impeller(not sure what pitch, the guy said it would run 60?) ocean pro nozzle, and some kind of purple adjustable box in the electrical that says riva I think its a cdi. I only paid $200 for this cream puff so even if I have to drag it around the lake to ride it it will be fun:Banane19:.

The purple box is a modified stock CDI by Riva to raise the rev limiter, same as the Pro-tec one

You dont need a special head, you should be able to get a case spacer....

You got a steal regardless

Where do you get a case spacer? Im trying to figure out what to do whether to sell this stuff on ebay and buy a good used motor or build this. I don't know what to expect from a stroker and im not sure whether I need this kind of power, I think it would be a blast though.

Heres some pics. The hull is pretty good, no cracks, needs paint, I did repair a small rough spot on the bottom edge that got scraped, no big deal. I also included pics of the r&d intake and dual super bn carbs.

The ski is stripped as you can tell. I think im going back white with all the black trim back on it, maybe a black hand pole. I like white on those square noses. I think im leaning towards selling all my motor stuff and going back with a 701 and maybe a single carb instead of those duals. Im not the best rider and would rather have an easy to tune ski thats reliable instead of wrenching everytime I ride. Thats what Im afraid of with the stroker.

Hey man...

where do you ride thats close to Marshall?

Hey whats going on? I've seen your post and read that your from Ar as well, i was gonna say something to you but must have slipped my mind. My wife and I mainly go to greers ferry at Clinton AR which is 45 minutes away or if we've got alot of time we go to bull shoals which is probably over an hour away, beautiful clear lake. Greers is nasty, looks like chocolate milk, but its closer and theres alot of traffic for wakes. My wife and I have a 84 js440/750 conversion and a 93 x2 and now a sj in pieces. My cuz has a couple of older js skis that I helped him get, but He won't put a dime in them, takes them to the lake when we go and beats on his carb for 4 hours or better. He has 2 busted motor mounts on the same side and his motor flops like a fish, hes too tight to fix his carb and buy some mounts! Needless to say I havent invited him back in a while, goofball:chairshot:. Where you ride? I read a post about a 60 year old that rides a fx1 with you? Thats insane! Im gonna be that man one day!

not 59.

He is a way cool dude to, and for sure has the ride skill!

I generally ride on Beaver Lake, its like 40 minutes from my house in Fayetteville.

I knew a dude in Marshall for a couple of years, and we backpack right down in there every year....

small world eh?

Oh man! Im in for it now. Its been a while since i read that! Im actually in awe of him for I know how these standups are on your body! im just 26 and Im beat after a ride. Dude must be in good shape. Yeah its a small world, I thought no one in arkansas rode stand ups. You ever float the buffalo? Awesome river, pretty mellow though, and no jet skis its a national river, darn it. Every one say this is gods country, very scenic.

Glad to see you joined here!

Hey man! Whats up? This is the guy that got me into all this superjet nonsense:arms:. Im taking your advice, im selling the protec stuff. Tell your friends, its on ebay. I don't need a stroker, i can't handle my stock x2, jk. I should have it done by next season, oh well. Makes a good yard ornament.

Haha, ive only seen one other guy do the flag trick. That takes some skill, my sis's ex pulled one off as we were walking into dixi cafe. You can do those anywhere. What do you want for your ski? I think my wife would beat me over my head if I brought anything else in the garage. Look at my garage and tell me if I need another ski flag boy! I tried to watch your video on that post but dial up doesn't like videos:Flush:

Man thats a nice sj! Thanks for the pic, now I know where all my motor stuff goes in my junker! Im scared to ask, but what are you asking for it? Looks new. Yeah, theres always more room for standups. I need that one for this weekend, my conversion js died. Electrical gremlins ate up my stator. Now no play time on the lake with a stand up for me this weekend. Im on my way after your ski:arms:. btw you have a pretty garage. Nice ford.

DANG thats a messy garage TNJ...

looks like mine, except your car appears to actually move in and out.
the car in my garage serves as table/storage space.

SJaholic..

that ski looks CLEAN

I sent velocity a link to this thread, he wants it, he is just afraid that actually riding a superjet might scare the 'man' out of him....
