I bought this ski for 600 $ and decided to do a complete functional, mechanical, and aesthetic overhaul. Decided to skip all the color and flair, just wanted a clean build. Some fiberglass repair was done but the hull was quite solid for a 1992. Looking forward to breaking it in and running the rapids up here in the spring. Huge props to JetManiac who rebuilt the pump midshaft and supplied the power plant.

Parts list:

New JetManiac Built/Blue Ported 718 61x/62t with ADA head
Lightened Flywheel
New Oem Kawi Starter with yami rear plate
New Oem Bendix
New Vforce 2 reeds/cages
Completely rebuilt oem 38s
New Limited B-Pipe
Completely rebuilt pump with brand new 10/16 hooker
Rebuilt midshaft
Cold Fusion Motor Mounts
Overhauled E-Box with brand new MSD Enhancer
Brand New Start Stop Switch OEM Lanyard
OCD tidy bilge set up
New Grips
New turf with 25 mm underpad
New Gas tank and Straps

I think the last thing i need is a good sealed battery

Some of the build pics I took:

Awesome idea and project. We had a sweet set of rapids back in my home town that I would love to ride again. Good call on building a cheap but solid runner to do it with. I was riding a new seadoo and it would have been a total loss had anything gone wrong. I don't think I could do it now on anything worth more than a grand.

There was a guy years ago that installed alum tubes along the bottom of the hull for running the rapids. He was on PWCToday. Cannot remember his screen name. Was in Oregan/Washinton St.

It can be a bit sketchy at times. I've hit boulders/rocks on several occasions. I'm getting a lot of fiberglass experience. It is interesting how this area changes year to year based on water flow/snow melt. Some years you can go miles farther than others.

That might work but when ever I drag my Rideplate (aluminum) against granite it basically stops the ski whereas the fiberglass glides across...lol. I try to be careful

We could only ride our spot safely for a month or so first thing in the spring as the runoff from the mountains took the river from 2ft to 8+ with a 38 mph current. Nothing quite like snowmobiling 2-3ft of fresh powder in the morning, play a bit of ball around noon and then jetskiing in the afternoon, lol.

Here is some footage of our spot filmed by kayakers. This is about average water height and very low and dangerous for us to ride and we had to pick our paths very carefully. At high water, we can barely get under the bridge and the water speed is double.
