ROGO high compression head scares me. Only because the actual compression is not stated.

"variable pitch impellor" scares me. You might be dealing with somebody flipping a ski who knows nothing about ski's.

Variable pitch would mean something like an 11-17, the pitch changes as the water passes by. The compression you are looking for should be even (+-5psi) and above 140psi, with a high compression head likely 170+

It is the coffmans version of the b-pipe, same layout and very similar shape and weight. People say they add about 90% the power of a b-pipe at less than half the price. I haven't installed mine yet.

There is no such thing as a variable pitch impellor in a jet ski.

The pitch is the pitch.

There is a "dual pitch" impellor...which is what most riders use. But, the pitch can't change as your needs change. It is machined steel.

THis is why "variable pitch" sent up a red flag for me. It is what it is.

Anyone that tells you different is not telling you the truth.

Pitch designation such as 14/18 indicates that the prop is basically variable pitch (angle) prop. The pitch (angle) varies from the leading edge to the trailing edge. Two numbers to indicate degrees of each blade in relation to an imaginary line perpendicular to the axis of the prop itself.

Yes I realize its machined steel and its not going to change or "morph" into what I want, as I understand it the angle of the blades on the prop change as you go from front to back like feartheride was saying. I'm sure its all just misunderstanding and confusion. Lol so do the pitch numbers work the same as like the front and rear sprockets on a dirt bike?

"variable" means that you can change it, or that it can be changed. Not the case with any prop I've seen (without machine shop intervention)


Yep. That's true with any "dual picthed prop" no matter what the difference from the leading edge to the trailing edge..

But ...

Perhaps you need a dictionary for your birthday....

The pitch is what it is.....from the leading edge to the trailing edge.....

If you can find a way to change it while your riding needs change, then we would all like to know about it.

So, Don't "INCORRECT STATEMENT" anyone until you understand basic grade-school grammar.
