'90 Superjet... is the stock ride plate best?

I bought the ski with a west coast ride plate and someone suggested I find a stock plate and maybe do D cut. I plan to do a fair amount of riding in choppy water and I weigh 170 (if that matters)

So do I keep the longer ride plate or go find a stock one?
Thanks

if your plate is extended out the back of the ski, then cut it flush with the back of the hull, then d cut it. just cutting it flush would be enough. it seems the d-cut mod works really well in waves, it might not be worth the effort for flatwater. just cut it flush and try it out. i just run a stock plate and love it

D cut is GREAT on flat water as well.

stock plate is ( even if NOT D cut) is better for my preference.

the shorter the plate, the easier it is to get the nose of the boat in the air.

longer plate, pushes the nose down harder.

with a D cut stock plate, my first ride, I kept falling over backwards when landind a jump.
I was used to an extended ride plate, and the D cut made the front come out of the water so much easier
