good call Harrison. We had our entire company observe a moment of silence earlier this morning... all 4 locations, about 1,800 employees.

I watch a special on the discovery channel last night. It's interesting to let all the emotions get stirred up so I can try to feel the same passion for the "war on terror" that I felt 5 years ago.

Sept. 11 was a very unfortunate day, and a turning point in the history of this country. Time will tell if it was a turn for the worse or the better.

My heart goes out to all the families who lost loved ones this day, 5 years ago.

The ROTC detachments at my school held a parade this morning at our campus's flag pole and we held a 21 Gun Salute.

If anyone has ever heard a 21 Gun Salute they know that chill you get that runs though your body.

If you've never been to a military parade or ever been present for a 21 gun salute try to attend one. It is something you will never forget.

Thank you to all of our members who are serving our country in the United States Military. Your service is greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.

Thank you and God Bless America.

Or, hearing Taps played by a Bugle (sp!) and having a flight of F16's (or any fighter) fly over and having one pull vertical signifying the Missing man Salute................ That gives you chills.......

Pssst.....those aren't f-16's

Look more like f-15's. The f-16 is a single engine single tail fighter.

at the school I got to the college republicans which I am a part of put out roughly 3,000 small flags in the courtyard and had a sign with 140 pages 9 pt font of all that were lost this day, when you see that board at the number of flags all next to each other it really takes you back. Also, just wanted to add, ever sunday all sorts of hippie dems stand out in front of our courthouse with flags and signs saying peace and out Iraq, well I was walking by this last sunday and usually I wouldnt say anything but could not resist this person yelling at cars that were yelling at them and I said, as in the song have you forgotten what happened 5 years ago, how can you honestly say to remove our troops from Iraq afghanistan or any other country and risk what could happen again like 9-11 , i said a few other things because this person really got me worked up and all they had to say was I just dont believe in Bush;s foreign policy and they started shouting again. Some people just dont get it!
