650/X-2 88 650sx piston and head damage, WTF!?

IMAG0323.jpgIMAG0324.jpgIMAG0325.jpgso my ski died on me the other weekend couldnt get it started and had really low compression. Here are some pics of what i found when i pulled the head off also my head bolts dont torque down some of the studs seem to be pulling out when i twist the bolts but when i pulled the head off it doesnt look like the studs are coming out of the block. So... my question is does anyone have any studs i can by for the 88 650sx and who has a head i can buy and how do i remove the engine? do i need any special tools such as driveline holder?? Also what could have caused this kind of damage, cylinder head gasket is aluminum and does not look to be blown.

looks like the crank let go and beat up the piston and head. i would recommend tearing it down and checking everything.

IMAG0320.jpgIMAG0321.jpgSame thing happened to my x2, seemed like a good excuse for a full rebuild of the ski as well as the motor. Check your bores carefully, mine cracked the bores so I needed new cylinders too, you don't want to rebuild it twice if you miss something
