put a head and bump compression likewise with static timing.it'll wake it up.

and than go into a coma........i wouldnt touch the compression or your motor will do this :hitwithrock:
oh and be sure your fuel lines arnt leaky and let it sit with the cover off for a min to air out........ i was workin on my buddy 550, had my whole face in the engine compartment trying to tighten the possitive on the battary......spark,:scared:BOOM!!!! vapors exploded and set my face and arm on fire...... had no eyebrows, eyelashes, facial hair, nose hair, or arm hair:veryhappy:

Ive got a 84 440/750 coversion ski thats alot of fun. It feels like a toy compared to my sn sj. Its fun, but the sj is much quicker off bottom. i like it for jacking around and jumping wakes. I get much higher easier on that lightweight js hull. A 650 conversion is a cheaper/easier route than the 750 and is the BEST mod for those skis. The small pump and lack of yamaha bottom end power are their downfalls, as well as being very sketchy at high speeds(some like this though, like me).

I didn't see anybody mention dual cooling...

tnj4life: What you talking about by 'sketchy'? I have to ride up on the rails, all the way forward, to keep from porpoising at high speed. I only hit around 38 on it.

By saying sketchy I meant Unpredictable or stupid, my conversion is the craziest thing at top speed due to that flat, skinny hull. It feels like your walking a tight rope, it will throw you if you just lean over a little at top speed. These skis take a particular stance to keep on top of them. I hunker down as low as I can and hang on! I don't know how fast mine will go but its a quite bit faster now. Some say that the conversion motors make them fall over easier. You need a extended ride plate for porpoising.
