So I spoke with Dave @ Impros this afternoon and he recommended I try the 10/16 Hooker after I try the 11/17 with a Ww cone then if I'm still not satisfied he will swap Impellers + a restocking fee, I brought up XMetals "suggestion" and the C75 option and he shot those ideas down pretty fast. He said they are just as aggressive as his 11/17 and if I'm not happy with it I would not be happy with them either... He also eluded to the fact that he knows what he is talking about because after all he is the Impeller guy.

So the 10/16 is the route I'm going to try first for two reasons 1st it's the cheapest and 2nd it's the cheapest, as far as getting what you pay for pretty much all impellers cost the same

cool man, should be a good prop. just remember that the tbm will physically reduce the amount of volume in the pump that no impeller can do on its own. with that said, i look forward to seeing how you like your new prop and if you will be happy with the motor setup.

So as suggested by Art & Dave I threw on a WW cone and it hardly did anything....might have a hair more pop or it was just a better tank of gas lol
So I'm just waiting for my 10/17, Should I throw the stock cone back on or just keep the WW cone on with the different impeller

The difference between a stock cone and a wet wolf cone should be more than hardly anything at all specially if you think you have too much impeller. Maybe you have other problems contributing to this symptom and not just the impeller.

the cone all by it self will increase the amount of water volume behind the prop in the pump. This will take longer for the prop and motor to prime the redution nozzle. during this longer time the motor is able to rev up without full load. weak motors can benifit from the WW cone. not your 771. I switched back to the stock cone when i was running the 85mm reduction nozzle. try your new prop and let us know how it works.

I would be SHOCKED if there is anything else "wrong" everything in my ski is new, other then the waterbox and fuel tank and I tested everything as I went and there is nothing wrong with how it starts or revs

I'll post the difference as soon as I'm off the water next weekend D-Roc

So today I took it out for a few hours and its mildly better, But it kinda sounded a little funny I thought to myself kinda like too much water was in the pipe, XM told me to run restricters so I stuck them right where my pissers exit my hull, I moved the one to behind the tee that goes to the pisser and to my jetworks valve, that made a major difference huge in fact, Also to day I took of my worx rideplate and threw the stock ride plate on that also gave me more punch, The gains I got today just with fiddling around were huge and I'm sure that my motor is still breaking itself in because Im 4th tank of gas...And I'm not running the Epic curve yet just the MSD curve I made time kinda being retarded careful with my break in but I think its worth it, I'm going to flip the switch to XM curve after tank 5-6 and I'm sure Ill get even more pow after that as well

oh man, you need to put the timing curve on, no wonder your not happy. do it up, that motor would have popped if you assembled it wrong by now.m glad to hear your getting performance gains by tuning your entire ski. keep it up.

I couldn't believe how much moving the restricter changed the throttle response... Kinda want to make me move them both to right off the pump, might help the entire pipe heat up, And ive been thinking of other things to do but it ran pretty wicked today

Maybe that 11/17 isn't that far off then?
Its pulling way harder but there still isnt that punch, On my first tank of gas I wouldn't have been able to do a nose stab, and I'm not even kidding, This weekend with Changing the ride plate, WW Cone, Moving the restricter and burning more gas it sure has woken up. I would say last year had more arm wrenching punch then this year but its been gaining power so slowly I could be entirely wrong and I'm just used to it... But I have ordered the 10/16 and no matter how hard this set-up is or isnt hitting I'm still going to run it for a weekend... If it has more punch then the 11/17 I might not return my 11/17 but see if Dave can do an in between custom re-pitch somewhere in the middle of 10/16 and 11/17...if I loose some punch I'll go the other way towards a 9/15... I dont know if that is possible at all just seems like a good idea...I dont know nothin about anything when it comes to impeller pitches/pitching lol

Munkie,
I ran a 9/15 Hooker on my Dasa 760 and it hooked up good. I had a blueprinted pump, WW cone that changed to stock, bored 85mm nozzle and a aquavein intake. I was real happy with that setup and had bottom end hookup. My Epic was programmed by Art so I don't know the curve, but flyinb501 has it now and he can pass on the curve if he's got the software. Art was spot-on with that curve.

Thanks, I sold my 9/15 (dummy!!) and ive already ordered a 10/16 depending on how it hits I'll get the 11/17 re-pitched to a more or less aggressive pitch the reason I started with the 11/17 is Dave at Impros thought I would have too much power for the 10/16 so naturally I figured to start with the 11/17, I decided to listen to his advice because thats his thing, Ive already got Arts curve but I'm going to stick with the curve XM gave me for now, Ive been in talks with Art for my next motor already lol
