my ski is a 96, the compression is 149/150. do you think I can run a limited set up on it, and be ok? Or should I go ahead and tear it apart, have it bored out and new pistons in?

Honestly, I would hit up godocgo or scottiemac and talk to them about building blasters. They can tell you what works and is the best bang for the buck for Blasters. Or Tim Judge if you can get him on the phone.

Personally, if your motor is tired you need to figure on a top end.

$300-400.00 for pistons and machine work.

Pipe and Head (or machine your head - only after rebuild) $600-1000.00
Port Work if you want more power than a limited $350.00
Enhancer ignition or modify OEM $5.00 to $250.00
Prop $75-200.00

If it comes with the OEM carbs and you're not doing mods, you won't need to change jetting.
If they aren't OEM carbs or you do mods, you'll have to tune.

The head won't change jetting.
The pipe will probably need lower popoff and slightly bigger mains and pilots.

WOW, I cannot for the life of me figure out why our 96 B2 760 / Dual OEM 44's ran flawlessly for 10 years. I just do not see how that is possible unless, no, couldn't be. No..........

Damn, It was a good setup the whole time.

its stock they run fine. try and mod it dont work. the 760 stock pipe will not fit in the b1. thoses carbs wont work with any aftermarket pipe. (i know i know but my ski runs with them) no it dont you just have no clue what a good set of carbs run like.
yes i know the 760 cylinder fits on the 62 lower end. i was assuming he only had a 760 motor. the 155 mm pump had nothing to do with good lowend on the b2 right? i only post this stuff from doing it already.61x cylinder runs better then a 760.now if you were getting it ported then i would use it.

Ryan, you missed my sarcasm.

I ran one for years in my wifes B2. Stock.

Pick up the motor and put it in another ski and it works fine. Yes, you have to change the pipe. Go much beyond that and yes, your chasing demons trying to get the tuning right.
