so does a 62t need to be bored to accept the larger sleeves? you said it didnt then you said it did.
(edit) I see where matt posted above saying that it does require boring.

i had to have my cases bored for my bb sleeves but i think the bb sleeves might be larger than the 760 sleeves.

i have read that the 760 cyl is not much better for freestyle than a 701 since the port height is higher in the cyl in the 760 compared to the 701. but again that is what i have read.....there is alot of conflicting info on the web and you just have to try and filter through it all. i have a feeling there is a reason why people pay alot more money to turn a 701 into a 760 compared to just buying a 760 cyl.

Sorry, I was thinking faster than I could type. I had a set of stock 62t cases (out od 98 super) and a 760 cyl bolted on with no boring or modification to the case. A 61x case would need to be bored.
I am running this set up in a B1 and love the power. I ride surf so I'm not looking fo the off idle hit. I'm looking for mostly mid range hit and the 760 is awsome. I would like to build another 760 for my FX1.

Eh....I'm pretty sure taht stock 701 Dual Carb cases (64U cases, or 701 62T) will not accommodate the big sleeves without modification.

I've done one I think. There is a diff between the 701T and 760T cases

WHo knows, I may be wrong. Even if you have to do the mod, it can be done with a Dremel. It ain't rocket science.
