Cutting the hull will reduce weight but will also cause the ski to ride lighter since the nose will be up highier while riding. I always wanted to do it but havent got that far yet.
As far as weight loss alone, you can cut up the engine mount plate, cut out the excess epoxy arounf the bond line, gut the water box, replace the pole with AM, re foam the rear tray, cut out the stock hood liner and build your own, remove all unneeded parts like engine purge, oil injection, and fuel selector. There are some I missed for sure but thats a start. I did everything I could think of this winter, My hull is 165 without the engine or pole (just the hull and hood)
