I'm happy with my 750 the way it is but I was wondering if I can shave off a few pounds so I can throw it around even more? What are some ways to reduce a little weight? I was thinking about cutting 2-4" off the back of the hull what else can I do?

Cutting the hull will reduce weight but will also cause the ski to ride lighter since the nose will be up highier while riding. I always wanted to do it but havent got that far yet.
As far as weight loss alone, you can cut up the engine mount plate, cut out the excess epoxy arounf the bond line, gut the water box, replace the pole with AM, re foam the rear tray, cut out the stock hood liner and build your own, remove all unneeded parts like engine purge, oil injection, and fuel selector. There are some I missed for sure but thats a start. I did everything I could think of this winter, My hull is 165 without the engine or pole (just the hull and hood)

Heres a few pics so you know what Im talking about...

Does the SXI have those giant steel plates glued to the right side in front of the engine and behind the bulkhead like the SX does.? I stripped those out of an SX and they were over 10lbs.

Where did you cut into the hull to remove the steel plate for the one that is behind the bulkhead
