750sxi questions

My brother who rides a 650sx has found a fair deal on a good condition 1995 750sxi. What does everyone think about this ski for just riding around. He is not into freestyle riding.....his extent of getting crazy is getting some air off of waves and carving it up a bit. I know what he really needs is an sxr but he cannot afford one. Do these ride good and have good power. I use to have an sxi pro back when i started riding standups but cannot really remember how it handled and i know the sxi has a different lower than the sxi pro anyway. Is the sxi any harder to ride than a 650sx? thanks

The SXI had better low end than the Pro did. For just messing around, I think they are absolutley fine. Takes a while to master the porpoising but still handles way better than the 650.
You can lean them down pretty well and carve some nice curves. Plus there are about a zillion Kawi 750s(standups and sitdowns) on the planet so tons of parts new and used are available.
