it's not the head gasket (maybe). It's a steady stream, not too hot on the trailer....If I ride it for 5 mins on the water, it goes hot and into the limp mode.

I just replaced the head gasket, so.....what else?

If the carb is not tuned correctly, would that cause the to heat up?

im not sure youdidn't really say

is your cooling system working 100%, clogged, leaking?
you don't need dual cooling on a 750 unless it's built WAAAAAAAY up

head could be warped,
are you running lean? does it run ok before it gets hot

more info needed i think

I think the cooling system is working 100%. Already has 2nd cooling line.

Runs great (up until) 5 mins in the water.......could be warped head, but wouldn't that affect the cooling immediately?

Crank seals make sense, causing it to run lean. I've had that problem before, but it deiseled......then I knew it was the seals.

So it would have nothing to do with the carbrunning lean.?

Would advancing/retarding the timing cause it to run lean????

I appreciate the input...

if your crank seals were bad then it would cause it to run lean regards of what the carb is set for.

However if it was the carb running leaning then those first 5 minutes it would probelly be running great then the overheat s*^t would kick on like you said. You may want to try and bypass the overheat sensor on the e-box for trouble shooting. it would give you a longer ride just you have to be carefull that you dont let it get to hot.

now we're getting somewhere. I'm going to try
to rich the mix (hi-speed adj.) I'm hoping it's not the seals.

It is a new carb, so maybe it needs to adjust to my coffman exhaust?

It's worth a shot, I can always replace the seals, if it's not carb.

One guy (that knows more about engines than me) says he thinks it's still the cooling system. But on the trailer it works fine (under load), the load doesn't change when we ride it!?
