750 sx NO SPARK

i ordered a complete tested electrical system for a great price. So i will swap out the stator first and see what happins. that should be at the house now so hopefulyl tomorrow i can have the ski running

alright well i got the new stator in and i got spark now. Is there any special way i was suppose to put it in? the stator is solid mount to the case on the 750sx but was i suppose to bring the engine to top dead center or anything like that cause now it wont start. It is just cranking.

If i pull the plugs out i can see all kinds of spark so i know thats good.

you only hav to bring it to top dead center if you take the flywheel off. So you have spark and compression, so make sure it's gettin fuel.

well i havent changed anything on the fuel side but i will check it out here tomorrow. Anything else it could be?

well i got it fiqured out. it was the fuel pump on the carb not pulling in fuel i switched it out with a diffrent one and had it out on the water today she ran good.

why would you have to do that? the crank has a keyway...the flywheel only goes on one way.

I just didnt know at the time cause it still wasnt running. But i fixed the problem with a diffrent fuel pump.

ok new problem. I got my foot holds finsihed up and last night the ski had no spark so i charged the battery. and then she fired right up. this morning it worked all day. Then the battery got weak and i have no spark again. I am hoping i just need a new battery? and ideas. PS spark looks great when batt is charged.

I fully charged the battery and tryed it today. NOTHING. I even tryed a second start stop switch.. ANY IDEAS?

uh yeah battery. it sounds weak. if you have a voltmeter put it on the battery and watch the voltage when cranking it. if it drops way down its crap.

good point. I ll check it. its a pretty new battery though but maybe

current status

So new battery and i can make the ski run great on the stand in the garage as soon as i get to the water i had like 5 minutes of ridiing before lossing spark. ANY IDEAS?????

something getting wet maybe?
