I know this has probelly been discussed before i just searched though all the related searchs and couldnt find the answer so here it goes

750 sx was running good and then at the end of the day when i went to start it to flush the salt water out, It would not start. I got fuel, air, and good compression. I mean i was just riding. I pulled the plugs and got nothing no spark at all that i can see anyway.
I pulled the E box apart to see if it was possible wet or had a lose connection looks good. Battery is on the battery tender it wasnt fully charged when i tried this but it was turning it over just fine.
any advice???

Stator, Ign Coil??

Usually the spark intermittently when the stator goes bad, check it tonight when its dark and see if you see any spark at all.

I just checked it and there was very little spark the very first time i hit the start button. then nothing. I waited a little while and it tried it again the very first time i hit the button i had spark but its very weak and hardly noticable.

If the star stop switch had a bad connection then wouldnt not be powering the starter relay and the engine wouldnt turn over

not true. if the start stop switch went to ground then you would not be getting spark. It would still turn over the motor.
If your gonna argue about advice then why ask?

I was simply asking. to my understanding i thought i wouldnt turn the engine over. I have another start/stop switch i can go tryit jst doesnt have a teether.

Yeah you can go into the electrical box and unhook the ground wire from the stop switch or hook up the other switch, that switch is the same the tether was just an add on feature.Try one of those first as the electrical troubleshooting process is always eliminate the simple stuff first then go into checking things with the volt-ohm meter then replacing parts, regrettably there are not many checks you can do on the stator.:ugh2:

right the two switchs are the same minus the teether. i can just hook up the other switch like you said and see what happins the 750 just has that plug in connection to so that makes things easy, i ll just have to pull the ground

you could test the resistence of the stator to find out if its bad or not. Mine went bad on my 93 750sx. Heres the numbers

blue/green=540 ohms
red/purple=450 ohms
brown/brown=2 ohms

if you find that your stator is the problem, call John at Jetskisolutions. He will rebuild the stator for $120 bucks and you wont have the '92-'95 750sx stator problem anymore.
