750 Kawi, backfire not running

Had the ski running great, seemed like it sucked in water then wouldn't clear out. Took ski out of water, pipe was hot, cylinder was warm, pulled the head off nothing. Pulled the stator cover, bingo loose stator, put on the spare and the ski seemed to crank forever and then when it fired it backfired. Seems like the timing is WAY off. Flywheel is tight, but I cannot verify if the key has broken and it has shifted position. It is a Jetinetics lightened charging.

Any ideas? I am thinking flywheel has moved or the CDI(MSD Enhancer) has died. Any other thoughts.:banghead: :cussing:

I am fairly sure that is the problem, now I have to figure out how to pull that f'ing flywheel. It doesn't have the threaded front portion like the others and you can't get a puller in on the case without breaking it down.

It is a jetinetics flywheel.:banghead:
