I rode kawis up untill last summer. I bought a superjet before last season and I will never go back. When my freinds rode my superjet they were also converted. The 750 is fast but thats only fun for about a minute. The superjet is a much more nimble ski for jumping and doing tricks. In my oppinion the 650sx jumps better than the 750 so for the type of riding you say you do I think you my be disappointed with the 750.I also find yamaha a little more user freindly to work on than the kawi. Dont get me wrong, if I were going to race I would want the Kawi but Im much more satisfied with the superjet for the type of riding I do.

how does the handeling compare between the kawi 750 and a roundnose?
the super jet is a very flat feeling ski to me like riding a skateboard and more stable in a straight line
the 750 smoother and a completely different feel and like to lean and a bit more wild ina straight line

like i said earlier, superjets feel more squirrelly in the air to me not always a bad thing
i really really am glad i got a superjet and sold off my sxi pro

they just each have a unique riding feel to them that are neither better or worse in my opionion
there is nothing i can do on my superjet that i did not do on my 750 however

Has anyone ever switched from a SJ to a SXi/SXR and said it was better? I know tons who have gone the other way and said so, including myself.

I dont think ive heard that, but thats beyond the point. It may be easier to FS an SJ, but FS'ing a kawi takes more work, and skill, which is good. get a kawi....

i think im going to go with the SXi, maybe riding the superjet will change my mind this summer, but i doubt it. i agree with ice rocket, EVERYONE who does freestyle has a superjet, its nothing special...if i can huck a 750 it'll mean more (to me at least)

I just finished my 750 freestyle build and I love it so far. The SJ is the best for freestyle but I didn't have the money either. You can do alot on a 750 and I love kawi also. Check out my ski on the ski buildups thread if you like the 750. Good luck

I'd have to say that there are not many people who can barrel roll a SJ and couldn't roll (with a little practice) a kawi comparably equipped. Rider 90%, equpment 10%.

why make it harder than it has to be? we know the yamaha engines last longer and are better built. we know a stock hulled kawi will never be as good as a superjet for freestyle or freeride (for most people) if your basing all this on looks............. either way most riders choose they're ski based on whats best for the riding they're gonna do.

I have a SXI 750 and i like it. I need footolds really bad though, and it has NO bottom end. I am prob gonna be buying a superjet this wednesday, but for me. I will keep my 750 for the girl or friends. When i went to the pensacola freeride i rode pretty much all of the popular stnad up skis. Square, round, sx-r, and i had a 650 sx that i sold two weeks ago. My sxi feels like a perfect combo of a sx-r and a RN SJ. Turned like a sx-r and jumped like a SJ. Its all about what you like. One of my buddies likes my sxi bettert than a superjet, its all about personal opinion!

i like kawis at the lake when you wanna go carve and your not worried about your motor blowing in the middle of some nasty surf

sxi's are awsome my buddy bought one a few months back fast as hell but switching from the sx hull to the sxi hull is a good diff in handling

I have both a SXI Pro & SJ, both are built Freestyle boats. I ride 70% surf, hands down the SJ is the way to go. Matter a fact I'm buying another SJ next week. I made the mistake & bought a SXI first, Just spend the money on a RN SJ, Spend it now or Spend it later.
