300/440/550 750 f.p.p in a 650 sx hull

Anyone have any experience with this. I dont have a 750 pipe to see how much work would be done to get it to fit. I talked with factory pipe this morning and they said that there would be a difference of 10 h.p. if I switched from my f.p. 650 to the 750 f.p. So my question is how much work would it take to get it in there?

ok well what do you mean man? do you have a 650 and want to put a 750 exhaust system on it? and what year is your 650...im guessing as long as it has rear exhaust it shouldnt be a problem!!

i got first hand knowledge of this. i did it to my 650sx a couple of years ago.
you will have to ding the pipe some around where the fuel pick up is, also my ski had the stock left side exhaust which i kept. you need to take the aluminum pipe from the stinger to the waterbox and cut it to reverse the bend on it so it works. the hardest part of the whole thing is mounting the stinger. i ended up breaking the first few i made, then i took some heavy gauge aluminum angle and mounted it to the headbolts, which were also modified to fit. check out the thread from my build and you can see some of it. also feel free to pm me with questions.. btw it totally changed the ski. i had a few people ride it and could'nt believe the bottom end power it made!

Extremethrottle.. SInce i am using a 750 engine, wouldnt it be easier to mount the stinger since i can use stock hardware? Anyone out there have the stock mounting hardware? Did you need to do any fiberglass or hood mods for the pipe?

thanks, kaw168... i miss my old ski

yeah, the stock mounting should work (better actually) i might have a stock mounting for it, but i think i had modified it at one time. i'll look. the only hood mod i had done was i cut the stock air inlets and inserted a piece of pvc coupler and pushed it up inside so it would help keep the water out. then i used flexable hose to help keep it from spraying all over everything when it did enter that way.
