i have a 750sx and put it away running last year. put a new top end on it and when i put plugs in the cylinder and plugs in the wire there is no spark and only spark when i let off the start button. when there is only plugs in the wires and none in the cylinder there is spark. happened last year and it was the stator. put another on in and it worked fine. so this year i changed the stator again to a said to be working one and put another whole ebox in off a working ski. and still nothing. the ski backfires when i keep trying to start it and seems to do that when there is a random spark that ignites all the built up fuel. so im stuck. im pretty sure the woodruff key is fine i never had a problem with that but then again i didnt take the flywheel off yet to look. could the advance timing i have on it mess it up? or the start stop switch messed up? those are the only other things i can think of.
any help would be great, trying to get this on the water before this weekend.
