701 only idles-cdi related?

Anyone ever hear of a cdi problem that caused a sn sj 93 to not rev?
Itstarts fine, and idles fine, revs just a tiny amount.

When I got the ski it acted like this, I put in a different cdi in there, ski ran great for about 10 outings, then that cdi went bad (no spark all of the sudden), put the old cdi back in, the ski ran for 5 or 6 outings, then back to the wont rev action.

Is it the cdi, or could it be something else?

there is a tool that goes between the spark plug and boot that shows the spark. I'd get one and see what it does if I were you.

doesn't sound like something I've heard a cdi doing before.

sounds fuel related to me. do you still have a fuel selector switch?

I really do not think it is fuel related.

Other cdi died, no spark and does not work on different, known running ski.

The other ski is in some one elses hands, I am hoping sending a replacement cdi will cure all.

I was wondering if anyone else ever had a cdi fail such that the ski idles, but wont rev.

That's very odd. I agree that it sounds fuel related like no pulse or no tank pressure.

Since it ran fine before your CDI issues, I can only assume you're right. I would find a new OEM CDI.
