Super Jet 701 head??

Thinking about just copping a 64u head and have it milled instead of springing for an Ada. Would rather put money towards somthing else for my build. Any input? Ik group k recommends using a modified stock head and uses a stock style head gasket for superior sealing. I have a protec half girdle ill make work too

Correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure the 64u head off a 760 has different size cut domes from the factory. You might wanna do a little research before you use a stock 760 head.

I have a girdled Riva head with non-removeable 35cc domes with girdled hardware for sale for $160. You are going to need some o rings (if I find some, I'll toss them in), some paint for it (it's stripped bare aluminum I skim coated for a smooth surface), some nuts and washers for the top of the girdle hardware, and bolts for the cylinder (might be able to use stock?).

PM me if interested.

Yea ur right they use a 64u head for big bore top ends... So with that said, is it cost effective to mill a 701 head to make about 185psi or go with an Ada?

A recut stock head is great for mild pump gas applications. No more than 170PSI with stock timing, they normally last forever. I would be more interested in an ADA if I could get domes set up for a stock gasket.

Yeah thats the number

There are three gaskets for stock heads. The gasket marked 61X is for 61X stamped heads up to 95. Gaskets marked 62t are for 94-95 62T and all newer 701 64u heads. A 760 uses a thinner metal gasket and a unique 64U style head. Make sure your shop knows the bore and gasket you are going to use.
