UPDATE: Just took it out on the water ran like complete crap. Would barely go above 5 mph and felt like it was gonna die. I tried tuning it but I wasn't sure which screw to mess with the High or the Low? Anybody know off hand what a stock 701 61x carb settings should be at? Not sure where to go now. Summer is half way over and I'm considering putting my 650 engine back in...

Pretty open every day after ~5:30PM. I packed up a fresh CDI and Ebox to bring along to test out stuff. All my tools are up north in cheese land so bring a voltmeter and a socket wrench set with short and long extensions if you can. I can bike down from work today or any day except for Friday. Let me know

Man that sticks, if you've got a buddy with a spare coil it would be worth it to crack the ebox open and just plug the sucker in. On Matt's ski you could just feel it in the throttle, it was like it was hitting a wall, the problem felt 100% electronic, it was less of a bog and more of a exact spot that the engine just could not get to repeatedly.

That sounds just like what mine does...

I thought for sure it was carb due to the specific "dead spot" related to throttle position. Those are perfectly clean and rebuilt so Im hoping this does it. Im throwing a replacement coil in soon well see how it goes.

Where can I see some better pictures of your freak? The paint job from your avatar looks pretty cool.

Huge thanks to Paul taking time out of his day to come down and help me out on my ski. Ran the ski all weekends and zero problems, except busting my knees on the tray from my uncle's Mastercraft wake haha. ^ This guy knows what he's talking about. Class act guy. Thanks again buddy. We gotta ride soon

Hell yeah buddy. Katherine and I just put an offer in on a townhouse in Hyde Park meaning within a month we could have our skis downtown and could ride late summer off 31st st.

And I... will have the all sacred GARAGE!!
