701 61X B pipe manifold on a 650(6M6) cylinder?

Will it work? I laid a 6m6 exhaust gasket on the 701 manifold and all bolts line up(of course), and it looks like top to bottom fits fine, bit on the width of the exhaust port only about half the gasket material seats. Anybody ever ran one this way? I'm wondering if that seal will hold.
Its for the kiddy ski!

Cool! Thanks for the info Neil! I wanted to hear it from someone that had done it.
I'm gonna use a OEM gasket with the sticky stuff that seals when it gets hot, so I hope that will be better than the regular generic gaskets. .

Yup, that works.
I've done both ways (X manifold on 64X 760 and on 6M6)
