Freestyle 650sx trim system

Trying to install a trim system on my 88' 650sx would it be better to use a steering cable or a throttle cable? I have a complete nozzle off of an x-2, i'm going to bust my backflips and rolls I just need a little help......i know.....buy a square or a round nose.....truth is I don't have the cash...the 650 conversion is gonna have to work, "got a 750 small pin under the hood" any ideas?? Port work, almost every aftermarket bolt on possible, I have 3 days to make this happen! Ideas????
 
Ok, so you plan to flatwater flip? Boatwake? V-wake? Because that engine set-up you just said and a 650sx hull,
Only way you could make a flip around would be v-wake, and thats a maybe.
Just don't hurt yourself. Especially without footholds....
 
Jburns, I'm interested how this turns out for you, i have a 88 650sx also (with out all the aftermarket.. yet!!) I have a throttle cable hooked up to my Trim and it works great.
 
Good luck, I have a 650 that has way to much engine work and mods done and i wouldn't even try it. V-wake and a lot of skill, chopping your pole shorter might help with throwing it around -4, foot holds are must and be sure to look for stress cracks if your hull is not re-inforced as mine has them from getting it up in the air. Use a go pro, I would love to see far you get.
 
sorry bit off topic but was it just a direct swap from the x-2. i posted a thread and havent got any replys yet.. i have a donor x-2 that im really wanting to swap the trim over but have some questions.
